Filipino Food Recipe - Tiyola Salmon

Tiyola Salmon Ingredients

1 tablespoon chopped onion

1/4 teaspoon finely-chopped langkawas

1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon finely-chopped garlic

2 tablespoons oil

salt and pepper to taste

300 grams salmon fillet

2 tablespoons vinegar

1/4 cup chicaro

1/4 cup broccoli florets

1/4 cup cauliflower florets

1/4 cubed eggplant

1/4 cup sliced carrot

1/2 cup thick coconut milk

1 teaspoon calamansi

1 teaspoon patis

1/4 teaspoon chili

Cooking Instructions for Tiyola Salmon mixed with Vegetables

In a bowl, combine onion, langkawas, turmeric, garlic, oil, salt and pepper. Marinate salmon in the mixure for a few hours.

In a pan, fry salmon in its own oil marinade. Add vinegar and vegetables. Stir in coconut milk, calamansi, patis, chili, and stock.

Serve, arrange the salmon and the vegetables on a serving platter, then pour sauce over them.

Cooking Tip: Aside from salmon, other fleshy fish such as tangigue (Spanish mackerel), marlin or swordfish can be used in the recipe.
