Filipino Food Recipe - Stuffed Tokwa

Stuffed Tokwa Ingredients
6 pieces tokwa
1/4 kilo ground pork
1/4 kilo shrimps, peeled and chopped
2 tablespoons chopped onion
3 cloves chopped garlic
5 sprigs kinchay, chopped
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 tablespoon pepper
flour for dredging
cooking oil for deep-frying
Ingredients for the Sauce
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon liquid seasoning
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
3 tablespoons sesame oil
3 tablespoons stock
1/2 chili-garlic sauce
1 tablespoon chopped onion
Cooking Instructions for Stuffed Tokwa
Cut the tokwa diagonally, then scoop out the insides carefully, making sure the triangles stay intact. Set aside.
In a bowl, mix together ground pork, shrimps, onion, garlic, kinchay, salt and pepper.
Stuff the tokwa with the ground pork-shrimp mixture. Dredge in flour then deep-fry until golden brown.
Make sauce: In a bowl, mix all ingrdients together well. Serve with the fried tokwa.
Cooking Tip: You may serve this also with gravy made of oyster sauce and stock mixed with sauteed ginger and garlic and thickened cornstarch.
