Filipino Food Recipe - Ginataang Manok

Ginataang Manok Ingredients
2 tablespoons of cooking oil
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
2 tablespoons of chopped onions
1/2 teaspoon of julienned langkawas
1/2 teaspoon julienned ginger
lemongrass
1 whole lechon manok, cut into serving pieces
3/4 cup coconut milk
2 tablespoons patis
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Cooking Instructions for Ginataang Manok
In a pan, heat oil and saute garlic.
Add onioons, langkawas, ginger, lemongrass and lechon manok.
Stir in coconut milk.
Simmer for a few minutes then add the patis.
Season with salt and pepper and continue simmering until cooked.
Cooking Tip: You can also use lechon marinated in a sweet sauce for this recipe, with great results. Also try adding a kamias or a squirt of lemon to the coconut milk to add a different tang to the dish.
