The Province of Bukidnon is considered as the food basket of the Southern Philippines because of its large-scale agriculture products ranging from pineapples, sugarcane, and bananas.

The province is located within the borders of Misamis Oriental, Agusan del Sur, Davao del Norte and Lanao del Sur. Bukidnon's capital is Malaybalay City. The province is blessed with a wide expanse of flatland which make it conducive to different staples of agriculural product. Bukidnon is home to the world's biggest plantation of pineapple - Del Monte. It also one of the top cattle-producing provinces in the Philippines.

Aside from it rich produce coming from agriculture, Bukidnon is also rich in natural attractions which range from magnificient mountain peaks, beauiful waterfalls, plush biodiversity, endemic species of flora and fauna, and scenic winding rivers.
Bukidnon is known for its unique indigenous culture. One example of this is the Kaamulan festival which is celebrated annually in the province from the middle of February until the 10th of March. The festival is held in celebration of the customs and traditions of the seven tribes that originally inhabited the provincial region some time ago. Kaamulan means a gathering of any kind which brings significance to each and every tribal in a particular time like a thanksgiving for a good harvest, a wedding ritual, or a celebration of a tribal member's birth.
